Aging and Dementia, Working with Violence and Aggression

The third study day for care workers supporting older service users covers the process of aging, including social, emotional, mental and physical changes; the various types of dementia and supporting sufferers and their families and working with service users with challenging behaviour.  Personal safety at work is also covered. 

Please note this course does not cover intervention techniques or physical restraint.
